The Bean Improvement Cooperative holds a biennial meeting at which members and colleagues from a number of diverse disciplines can interact and exchange information on bean improvement. A complete history of past meetings, locations, presidents and membership is provided. The 50th anniversary of the BIC was celebrated in October 2007 in Madison Wisconsin, home of the original meeting of the BIC held in 1959. Details on the 60+ year history of the BIC and the Presidents who served the BIC for the last 60+ years can be found in the pdf files below. The BIC held a successful virtual meeting, hosted by the U. of Saskatchewan, on November 2 and 3, 2021.
The 2023 BIC biennial meeting will be hosted by Clemson University from Nov. 6-8, 2023 in Greenville, South Carolina.
